A Poem about History
One dayIn the futureMaybe closer than we’d like to imagineThere will beA little tinyThumb drive with everything on it. Every. Thing. We’d ever recordedIn human history up to that point. All the wordsWritten by anyone In an instant message, scroll, or novel. On that driveI hope they findEvery one of these keystrokes. They’ll call it“Humanity on a stick”But it won’t be as filling. Or as tasty. As a corndog. A hotdog, on a stick.
